Asphalt Engineer

Job Description

As an Asphalt Engineer, you will oversee the production and laying of asphalt to ensure compliance with project specifications. You will also manage equipment maintenance and enforce safety standards on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the construction of asphalt pavements.
• Develop specifications for asphalt mixes and materials.
• Perform quality control on asphalt materials and laying processes.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful completion of projects.
• Negotiate contracts and work with subcontractors effectively.
• Manage project timelines and ensure all deadlines are met.
• Implement environmental management practices on-site.
• Report on project progress to senior management.
• Utilize project management software for tracking and reporting.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's Degree in Construction Management is advantageous

• 5+ years in managing large-scale asphalt projects
