Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of civil engineering projects, demonstrating strong analytical skills and technical proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft civil engineering plans and studies.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data for project feasibility.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and standards in engineering designs.
• Oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental scientists, and other professionals.
• Prepare and submit project proposals and progress reports.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to monitor project processes.
• Utilize engineering software for project design and management.
• Assist in the preparation of budget estimates and timelines.
• Research and implement sustainable engineering practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master’s degree in a related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of practical engineering experience

• Structural Analysis Software
• Geotechnical Engineering

Certifications

• Certified Civil Engineer (CCE)
• Safety Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
