Clinical Pharmacist

Job Description

As a Clinical Pharmacist in Johannesburg, you will play a pivotal role in patient care by providing expert medication management. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes and promote safe medication practices across various settings.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medication data to identify issues and improve patient outcomes.
• Foster relationships with patients and staff to promote adherence.
• Assist in training and mentoring pharmacy interns and technicians.
• Actively participate in quality improvement activities.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records.
• Provide expert consultation on therapeutic categories of drugs.
• Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare teams.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Clinical Pharmacy is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred

• Medication Therapy Management

Languages

• Afrikaans: Basic
