Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and emergency surgical procedures.

  • Consult with pet owners regarding animal behavior and treatment options.
  • Develop treatment plans tailored to individual animal needs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in training and mentoring junior staff.
  • Offer advice on pet welfare in community events.
  • Conduct follow-up visits to monitor patient health.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent degree
  • Registration with the South African Veterinary Council
Experience
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in a veterinary practice
