Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing measures to protect sensitive data and ensure network security. This role requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and experience with various security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead security initiatives to assess configurations and protect systems.
• Utilize tools for malware detection and network monitoring.
• Support the incident response team in identifying and mitigating threats.
• Maintain awareness of emerging security technologies and methods.
• Coordinate with external vendors for security assessments and audits.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree in Information Security is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
