Job Description

As a Cybersecurity Consultant based in Port Elizabeth, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our clients' information systems. You will develop and implement security measures, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with various regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in threat analysis and a passion for staying ahead of the latest cybersecurity trends.

Responsibilities

• Implement security infrastructure and continuously monitor its effectiveness.
• Guide clients on security best practices tailored to their business needs.
• Analyze security incidents and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with external vendors for security solutions.
• Review and enhance cybersecurity training programs for staff.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery and incident response plans.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or closely related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles

Technical Skills

• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
• Penetration Testing

Soft Skills

• Problem-Solving

Certifications

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Firewalls and IDS/IPS: Experience in configuring and managing firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Knowledge of Cybersecurity Frameworks: Understanding of frameworks such as NIST, CIS, etc.
