Public Health Analyst

Job Description

We're looking for a Public Health Analyst to join our Durban team. The successful candidate will analyze health data to inform policies and programs aimed at improving community health outcomes. You'll work closely with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to gather insights and make recommendations based on data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze public health data to evaluate health programs.
• Prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to design studies and surveys.
• Identify health trends and suggest interventions.
• Develop models to forecast health outcomes based on data.
• Assist in the implementation of public health initiatives.
• Maintain databases and ensure data integrity.
• Monitor the effectiveness of health policies and programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related field
• Advanced degree preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant experience in public health analysis

Technical Skills

• Qualitative and Quantitative Research
• Database Management

Soft Skills

• Project Management
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified in Public Health (CPH)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with GIS software: Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems for spatial health analysis.
• Experience in policy formulation: Hand-on experience in developing public health policies.
