Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Marriage and Family Therapist to provide individual and family counseling services. The successful candidate will support military personnel and their families in dealing with deployment, stress, and relationship issues. Responsibilities

• Deliver confidential counseling services tailored to military families.
• Conduct group therapy sessions for family support.
• Develop and implement effective interventions for client challenges.
• Coordinate with external organizations to provide additional support.
• Record and maintain detailed case notes and treatment documentation.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Engage in community outreach and education regarding mental health resources.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in clinical psychology or related field
• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Experience

• At least 2 years working with military families

Technical Skills

• Group Therapy Facilitation
• Conflict Resolution

Soft Skills

• Active Listening

Certifications

• Trauma-Informed Care Certificate
• Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in community outreach and education: Ability to mobilize community resources and conduct workshops.
• Previous military experience: Understanding of military culture and family dynamics.
