Line Mechanic

Job Description

The Line Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical power distribution systems, including overhead and underground lines, switchgear, transformers, and other related equipment. This key role requires technical expertise and a proactive approach to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and repairs on electrical distribution equipment to ensure system reliability.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems and infrastructure.
• Provide technical support to crew members and assist with complex repairs.
• Participate in emergency response activities to restore power during outages.
• Stay updated with industry trends and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant technical qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Experience

• Experience with renewable energy technologies such as solar and wind is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Certifications
