Job Description

We seek a passionate and dedicated Special Needs Teacher in Cape Town to support students with diverse learning needs. Your role will be pivotal in developing personalized educational plans and ensuring that all students feel valued and understood.

Responsibilities

  • Identify learning challenges and strategies to support students effectively.
  • Collaborate with specialists to create a multidisciplinary approach for student success.
  • Utilise different teaching aids and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Carry out periodic assessments to track student development and adjust teaching methodologies.
  • Encourage student involvement in classroom activities and promote their autonomy.
  • Build rapport with students to foster trust and open communication.
  • Work with community organizations to provide additional resources for students and families.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Education with a focus on Special Needs.
  • Master's degree in Special Education or Educational Psychology is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years experience working with special needs students
