Clinical Psychologist

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join our dedicated team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of psychological principles and practices, with a passion for mental health advocacy and therapy. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Offer psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mental health.
• Work closely with community organizations to promote mental health initiatives.
• Conduct group therapy sessions as needed.
• Participate in research and data collection relevant to mental health services.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology
• Doctoral degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of clinical psychology experience

Technical Skills

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Family Therapy

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Conflict Resolution

Certifications

• HPCSA registration
• Trauma-Informed Care Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
