Job Description

As a Milling and Planing Machine Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC routers to produce precision parts in metal and plastic. Your keen eye for detail will ensure that all products meet our high-quality standards, while your technical skills will aid in the maintenance and optimization of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC routers for various production tasks.
• Conduct regular maintenance and adjust machines for optimal performance.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes.
• Document production data and maintain records accurately.
• Train and mentor junior operators in machine operation and safety.
• Identify and implement improvements in machine efficiency and safety.
• Participate in quality control checks to uphold product standards.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Technical training or certification in machining is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in CNC routing or woodworking environments
