Job Description

You will be responsible for assessing and monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and providing education to patients and their families. Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and assessing patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about health management and disease prevention.
• Assist in developing nursing care plans based on individual patient assessments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation according to legal and regulatory standards.
• Participate in training and mentoring of junior nursing staff.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and concerns to ensure high levels of satisfaction.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse certification from South African Nursing Council

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a clinical nursing role

Technical Skills

• Patient Care Management
• Medication Administration

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Communication

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a specialized area such as ICU or Pediatrics: Experience in critical care or specialized nursing fields will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems: Familiarity with EHR systems for effective patient record management.
