We are on the lookout for a passionate Mental Health Professional committed to enhancing the wellbeing of our clients in Cape Town. You will be pivotal in providing therapeutic interventions and support that fosters mental health awareness and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Develop tailored therapy programmes based on client assessments.
• Offer evidence-based counselling services to clients and families.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
• Create mental health resources and materials for clients.
• Build relationships with local organisations for community support services.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mental health counseling

Technical Skills

• Psychotherapeutic Techniques
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Mental Health Professional (CMHP)
• Trauma-Informed Care Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in Afrikaans or Xhosa: Bilingual abilities enhance communication with diverse clients.
• Experience in community mental health settings: Experience working with community organizations to support mental health.
