Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our Pretoria team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate employee deductions and report to relevant authorities.
  • Work with the HR department to verify employee status changes.
  • Support the development of payroll policies and systems.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements pertaining to employee taxation.
  • Manage payroll queries from employees in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the transition of payroll processes to new software systems.
  • Conduct payroll-related training for new finance staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
  • Foster a positive relationship with employees regarding payroll matters.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Payroll Management Certification preferred
Experience
  • 3 years of payroll processing experience is essential
