Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team in Durban, where you will be responsible for assisting individuals and families in overcoming various life challenges. You will work collaboratively with diverse community members to provide support, resources, and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assess client needs and develop tailored intervention strategies.
• Provide support and guidance to clients facing personal and social issues.
• Collaborate with local agencies to facilitate access to additional resources.
• Help clients navigate complex systems and advocate for their needs.
• Conduct community workshops to raise awareness about social issues.
• Document client progress and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in social work or related fields

Technical Skills

• Counseling
• Crisis Intervention

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Communication

Certifications

• Registered Social Worker (RSW)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in community outreach programs: Background in community engagement and outreach initiatives.
