Job Description

As a Public Health Officer at Community Health Associates, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing health programs aimed at improving community health outcomes in Johannesburg. Your expertise will help drive health initiatives, conduct community assessments, and collaborate with various stakeholders to address public health challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and report on public health programs to assess their impact.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for community health workers.
  • Prepare and present health-related materials to community groups and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of health assessments and program activities.
  • Collaborate with local government and health authorities on public health initiatives.
  • Promote health equity by addressing social determinants of health in the community.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, or related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health preferred

  • 4-6 years of experience in public health initiatives or community health settings
