Job Description

As a Construction Manager, you will play a key role in leading construction efforts in Cape Town. You will manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that all aspects of construction meet company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of construction sites, ensuring that all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Develop project schedules, milestones, and resource allocation plans.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
• Facilitate regular meetings with team members and subcontractors to enhance collaboration.
• Evaluate the performance of contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Monitor and control project budgets to prevent cost overruns.
• Negotiate contracts and manage agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to maintain competitive advantage.
• Participate in the recruitment and training of new staff members.
• Foster a strong safety culture on-site by conducting safety assessments and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or Management
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in managing construction projects
