Insurance Underwriter

Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter at our Durban office, you will analyze risks and underwrite policies to support our growing customer base. This position requires strong analytical skills to make informed decisions that will directly impact the company's bottom line.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze financial documents and claims history.
• Consult with risk management specialists to evaluate potential risks.
• Participate in meetings to discuss trends in underwriting and changes in the market.
• Develop strong relationships with brokers and clients to better understand their needs.
• Educate clients about policies and procedures to ensure clarity and understanding.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field
• Higher certificate in Insurance would be advantageous

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in underwriting

Certifications

• Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII)

Languages
