Job Description

As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop site plans and construction drawings using CAD software.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and support staff.
• Conduct feasibility studies and environmental assessments.
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports.
• Implement sustainable engineering practices in all projects.
• Collaborate with clients to identify project requirements and expectations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Postgraduate qualifications in engineering management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in construction and civil engineering

Technical Skills

• Structural Analysis Software
• Geographical Information Systems (GIS)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified Civil Engineering Technician (CCET)
• Registered Project Manager (RPM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with BIM Software: Proficient in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software like Revit.
• Familiarity with Road Design Standards: Experience in designing road infrastructure to South African standards.
