Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Diversity and Inclusion Officer to help us create a more inclusive workspace. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing and implementing diversity programs, ensuring that all employees feel valued and represented.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives in the workplace.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops that promote understanding and respect for all employees.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of diversity programs.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment in diversity objectives.
• Provide guidance on diversity best practices and policies.
• Engage with employee resource groups to foster community and inclusivity.
• Collect and analyze data to track progress on diversity goals.
• Serve as a resource for employees regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Advise leadership on best practices for creating diverse teams.
• Support recruitment efforts to enhance workforce diversity.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Psychology, or related field
• Certified Diversity Professional (CDP) is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in HR with a focus on diversity

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with training facilitation: Proven experience in conducting engaging diversity training sessions.
• Familiarity with local D&I legislation: Knowledge of South African employment and equity laws as they relate to diversity.
