Job Description

Join our team as a Registered Nurse where you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care. You'll be responsible for monitoring patient progress, managing treatment plans, and educating patients and their families about health management.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitor vital signs and report significant changes to the medical team.
• Implement infection control measures to ensure patient safety.
• Provide compassionate nursing care to all patients.
• Complete discharge planning and patient education.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Assist with admission and transfer of patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Requirements

Education

• Registered Nurse qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a hospital or similar healthcare environment

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Pediatric Nursing Experience: Experience working with pediatric patients is beneficial.
• Knowledge of EMR Systems: Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus.
