Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will oversee compliance with regulatory standards and provide guidance on compliance-related matters.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation for regulatory inspections.
  • Conduct compliance training sessions for all employees.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs and recommend improvements.
  • Document compliance activities and maintain detailed records.
  • Respond to compliance inquiries from employees and management.
  • Act as a resource for interpretation of compliance regulations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance.
  • Regularly review and update compliance control strategies.
  • Engage in continued professional development related to compliance.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or a related field
  • Compliance certification (e.g., CCEP) is preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in compliance functions or related areas
