Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Rail Car Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and repairing rail cars to ensure they meet safety standards and industry regulations. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity of our rail fleet.

Responsibilities

• Execute quality welds using MIG, TIG, and stick welding as per specifications.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate repair tasks.
• Complete paperwork and reports related to welding tasks on time.
• Ensure proper maintenance of welding equipment and tools.
• Participate in regular safety and training workshops to enhance skillsets.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant welding qualifications

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in rail car repair and maintenance

Technical Skills

• Aluminum Welding
• CNC Metalworking

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• OSHA Certification
• Advanced Welding Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Rail Car Components: Experience specifically with rail car undercarriage and roof repairs.
