Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Data Scientist to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will leverage data analytics to turn complex data sets into actionable insights and guide data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Design experiments and statistical tests to inform product decisions.
• Work closely with IT teams to manage data infrastructure.
• Integrate data from disparate sources to create comprehensive datasets.
• Support marketing initiatives through data analysis and segmentation.
• Deliver insights on user behavior and market trends to guide strategy.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or similar
• Master's degree in Data Science is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in data analysis or data science

Technical Skills

• Python
• SQL
• Power BI

Certifications

• Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing: Knowledge of techniques and libraries used in NLP.
• Experience with A/B testing methodologies: Ability to design and analyze A/B tests for product improvements.
