Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Underwriter. You will be responsible for assessing risk profiles, making informed decisions on policy applications, and collaborating with agents to ensure effective insurance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough risk assessments to determine coverage eligibility.
• Collaborate with actuaries to analyze data for insurance pricing.
• Analyze current market conditions to stay competitive.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients through effective communication.
• Assist clients in navigating claims processes as needed.
• Review and validate data within underwriting software for accuracy.
• Compile and present findings on underwriting decisions to senior management.
• Maintain detailed records of all underwriting activities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar
• Master's degree in Finance or Risk Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of underwriting experience or in related insurance roles

Certifications

• Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII)
• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
