Public Health Specialist

Job Description

Join our team as a Public Health Specialist, where you will be instrumental in designing health programs aimed at enhancing community health. You will work collaboratively with health professionals and stakeholders to address community needs, focusing on disease prevention and health promotion.

Responsibilities

• Lead community health assessments to determine health priorities.
• Develop awareness programs addressing prevalent health issues.
• Facilitate community outreach activities to improve health literacy.
• Collaborate with teams to collect and analyse health data.
• Engage with local stakeholders to promote public health initiatives.
• Evaluate community response to health campaigns and refine strategies.
• Foster partnerships with governmental organizations.
• Mentor junior public health staff.
• Prepare grants and funding applications for health initiatives.
• Represent the organization at public health conferences and meetings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in public health or community health roles

Certifications

• Certified in Public Health (CPH)
