Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a variety of animal health issues.
  • Perform routine and emergency surgeries.
  • Ensure effective communication with clients regarding pet health.
  • Supervise and mentor junior veterinary staff and interns.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the clinic.
  • Provide postoperative care to surgical patients.
  • Participate in continuing education to maintain professional standards.
  • Implement preventive healthcare protocols.
  • Collaborate with specialists for complex cases.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture and team environment.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • Veterinary License in South Africa
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in veterinary practice
