Job Description

We are seeking an Urban Planner to contribute to our vibrant projects in Johannesburg. This role involves strategic planning, community outreach, and the integration of sustainable practices in urban development. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to analyze urban trends and implement plans that align with the city's growth objectives and environmental considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead urban design projects from concept to implementation.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with community members.
• Integrate sustainability practices into urban planning initiatives.
• Coordinate environmental impact assessments for new projects.
• Prepare land-use maps and zoning proposals.
• Conduct evaluations and impact studies for urban projects.
• Support the development of long-term strategic urban plans.
• Collaborate with government officials to secure project approvals.
• Promote collaboration among various stakeholders and agencies.
• Review development proposals to ensure policy compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or related discipline
• Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus

Experience

• 5 years of experience in urban development projects
