Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to enhance our security posture in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing security protocols, responding to security incidents, and educating staff on cybersecurity best practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate cybersecurity solutions to improve defense mechanisms.
• Document security incidents and recommend improvements.
• Work closely with external security consultants or vendors as needed.
• Implement solutions for data protection, encryption, and access control.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of legal regulations affecting cybersecurity.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role

Technical Skills

• Security Auditing
• Threat Analysis

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Certifications such as ISO 27001: Industry recognition for information security management.
