Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding the organization's information systems, conducting threat assessments, and implementing security measures to protect sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular audits of security systems and controls.
• Develop risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with external vendors for security solutions.
• Facilitate communication during security incidents.
• Assist in the creation of cybersecurity awareness programs.
• Oversee the implementation of security technologies.
• Conduct forensic investigations when needed.
• Assist in ensuring data privacy and compliance requirements are met.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Systems
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles

Technical Skills

• Cyber Threat Analysis
• Compliance Standards (e.g., ISO 27001)

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Security Audits: Knowledge of conducting security audits and assessments.
• Familiarity with SIEM Tools: Experience with Security Information and Event Management tools.
