Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing engineering projects that enhance urban development and community infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engineering solutions in compliance with local legislation.
• Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
• Prepare construction documentation and assist in tendering processes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project developments.
• Manage budgets and reporting for project milestones.
• Ensure quality control and assurance throughout project life cycles.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional registration is essential

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering with project leadership roles

Technical Skills

• Structural Analysis Software
• Microsoft Project

Soft Skills

• Leadership

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng)
• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of South African National Standards (SANS): Familiar with SANS regulations relevant to civil engineering projects.
• Skills in Geographic Information Systems (GIS): Experience using GIS for mapping and analysis in engineering projects.
