Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our innovative projects in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical design, analysis, and problem-solving to help develop high-quality engineering solutions. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive projects from conception through execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage small engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials for design implementation.
• Conduct failure analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Support procurement process by defining requirements and specifications.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and feedback.
• Review and approve engineering documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience with a focus on product design

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Project Management

Certifications

• Certified Engineering Technician

Languages

• English: Fluent
