Job Description

The Hopper Operator is responsible for efficiently operating and maintaining hoppers within our logistics operations. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth transfer of bulk materials and involves adhering to strict safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine checks and repairs on hopper equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors to improve operational efficiency.
• Train junior operators on best practices and safety protocols.
• Manage loading and unloading processes effectively and safely.
• Document maintenance and operational activities thoroughly.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
• Actively seek improvements in equipment operation and safety.
• Report any mechanical failures to management immediately.
• Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification or trade qualification is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience operating hopper systems or similar machinery.

Technical Skills

• Ability to operate machinery
• Basic computer skills

• Communication skills
• Organizational skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of hopper operation software: Experience with proprietary software specific to the industry.
