Job Description

We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to enhance our services in Johannesburg. You will engage in providing psychotherapy, performing clinical assessments, and developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client's needs. This position requires a proactive individual who is eager to contribute positively to our clients' mental health journeys.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver psychotherapy to clients facing various mental health challenges.
  • Conduct assessments and prepare treatment reports.
  • Collaborate with other therapists to enhance client care.
  • Foster a safe and therapeutic environment for all clients.
  • Document client progress and treatment outcomes systematically.
  • Provide education on mental health issues to clients and their families.
  • Participate in workshops and conferences relevant to mental health.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required by the organization.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
  • Additional certifications in counselling are beneficial
Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience preferred

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Certifications
  • Clinical Psychologist Registration with HPCSA
  • Certificate in Family Therapy (preferred)

  • Training in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT): Holding certifications in EFT or related therapeutic modalities.
