Mental Health Counselor

Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to help individuals manage their mental health challenges, provide counseling, and develop treatment plans tailored to each client.

Responsibilities

• Offer psychological support through counseling and therapy sessions.
• Evaluate and adjust treatment strategies based on client progress.
• Conduct workshops to promote mental wellness.
• Engage in case management to ensure client follow-up.
• Utilize therapeutic techniques to aid in client recovery.
• Collaborate with external resources for referrals and support.
• Provide ongoing assessment of client mental health status.
• Foster a supportive and understanding environment for clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social Work
• Master's degree in Counseling Psychology is highly preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of counseling experience

Certifications

• Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC)
