Actuarial Analyst

Job Description

We are offering a unique opportunity for an Actuarial Analyst to develop their career within our dynamic team in Johannesburg. This role involves performing data analysis and actuarial valuations while providing strategic insight to assist in financial planning and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Extract and manipulate data from databases for reporting.
• Contribute to the development of actuarial policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on industry trends to improve actuarial methodologies.
• Support senior actuaries in developing tools for risk assessment.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
• Assist with training and developing junior actuaries where required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or related
• Master's degree in related field is a plus

Experience

• Experience with actuarial software tools or modelling applications preferred

Technical Skills

• Excel and R/Risk Management Tools
• Report Writing

Certifications

• Actuarial Society of South Africa Membership (ASSA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
