Accountant

Job Description

Join our team as an Accountant in Port Elizabeth. You will manage financial records, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide insightful reports to our clients. We're looking for a detail-oriented professional who can work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts.
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports.
• Review and improve financial processes and control systems.
• Assist with cash flow management and forecast cash requirements.
• Engage with clients to provide financial consultancy.
• Facilitate communication between financial staff and executive management.
• Manage audits from start to finish including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up.
• Monitor company accounting practices and ensure compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• A related Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in accounting

• Accredited Management Accountant (CMA)
