The ideal candidate will be experienced in treating a variety of animals, performing surgeries, and communicating effectively with pet owners. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality veterinary care and ensuring the well-being of our furry patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations and preventative treatments.
• Maintain an aseptic environment during surgical procedures.
• Work with a team to provide emergency medical care.
• Address client inquiries and provide guidance on pet care.
• Research and implement new treatment modalities.
• Monitor post-operative recovery and follow up with clients.

Requirements

Education

• BVSc or equivalent qualification
• Postgraduate qualifications are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years in veterinary practice, particularly in surgery and emergency care

Technical Skills

• Anaesthetics
• Radiology

Certifications

• Certificate in Veterinary Surgery
• Advanced Veterinary Practice Certification (optional)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
