We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Durban office. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and demonstrate a passion for innovation. In this role, you will design, analyze, and improve mechanical systems while collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed engineering designs and specifications for mechanical systems.
• Evaluate project designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Work closely with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure smooth production.
• Review and analyze project plans and proposals.
• Lead design reviews and present findings to management.
• Implement best practices in mechanical engineering design.
• Research and recommend materials and methods to enhance product performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Project Management Software

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Communication

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of ISO standards: Familiarity with industry standards and regulations pertaining to mechanical engineering.
• Proficiency in MATLAB: Experience in using MATLAB for engineering analysis and simulations.
