Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are in search of a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building maintenance and repairs, with skills in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all facilities are fully operational and maintained to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of facilities.
• Repair and replace faulty wiring, pipes, and fixtures.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain an organized filing system.
• Work with team members to identify areas for improvement.
• React quickly to emergency maintenance requests.
• Oversee external contractors during larger scale repairs.
• Train new staff on maintenance protocols and procedures.
• Assist with ongoing maintenance projects as needed.
• Ensure tools and equipment are kept in safe working condition.
• Provide feedback to improve maintenance processes.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work are a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in maintenance or repair work
