IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated IT Support Technician to join our team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day IT support requests, ensuring smooth operations and high levels of customer satisfaction. You will be the first point of contact for users requiring technical assistance, addressing both hardware and software issues, and contributing to overall IT strategy.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues remotely or onsite.
• Configure and manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
• Assist with the planning and implementation of IT projects.
• Provide guidance and support to junior IT staff members.
• Ensure adherence to IT policies and procedures.
• Maintain inventory of IT hardware and software.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT-related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT support roles

Technical Skills

• Linux OS
• Incident Management Systems

Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
