Job Description

We are looking for a knowledgeable Tax Advisor to join our Pretoria office. The ideal candidate will assist our clients in navigating complex tax regulations, helping them optimize their tax obligations while ensuring full compliance with South African law.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate tax positions and compliance with local, state, and national laws.
• Monitor clients' financials to assess their tax exposure.
• Serve as the primary contact for client tax-related inquiries.
• Coordinate with external advisors and partners when necessary.
• Provide insights on the potential impact of tax changes on clients.
• Assist in creating and implementing tax policies and procedures.
• Mentor junior staff and provide them with guidance and support.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your tax knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Honours degree in Taxation is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax advisory services

Technical Skills

• SAP Tax Software
• Regulatory Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Client Management
• Analytical Thinking

Certifications

• Professional Tax Practitioner (SA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with tax audit processes: Familiarity with the tax audit process and compliance checks.
• Knowledge of VAT regulations: Strong understanding of VAT legislation and compliance.
