Job Description

We are seeking a proactive IT Support Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional IT support and administration, ensuring all systems are functioning efficiently. You will act as the first point of contact for IT-related issues, helping colleagues with troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for IT support queries.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot computer and system issues.
• Participate in IT projects aimed at enhancing system efficiency.
• Regularly update IT inventory and license management.
• Ensure data backup and recovery processes are effective.
• Assist in user account management and security settings.
• Provide recommendations for software and hardware upgrades.
• Support remote users with connectivity and technical issues.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant ICT certification (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft)

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a technical support role

Technical Skills

• Office 365 and productivity tools

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with ITIL framework: Familiarity with ITIL best practices for IT service management.
