Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Cape Town. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in therapeutic practices and a passion for supporting individuals facing mental health challenges. In this role, you will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual and group therapy sessions.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive mental health evaluations.
• Design and review treatment plans regularly to meet clients' evolving needs.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as necessary.
• Educate clients and families about mental health resources and coping strategies.
• Document sessions and treatment outcomes for accountability.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.
• Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the healthcare system.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling or Social Sciences
• A Master's in Counseling Psychology is highly desirable

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical experience in counseling settings
