Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations of pets.
• Administer treatments and vaccinations to animals.
• Perform diagnostic tests like X-rays and blood work.
• Keep detailed records of patient history and treatment plans.
• Provide advice to pet owners regarding care and training.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote animal welfare.
• Develop and implement preventive health care programs for pets.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
• Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in veterinary practice
