Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter in Cape Town, you'll be responsible for assessing risk factors, analysing insurance applications, and making informed decisions on policy approvals. Your knowledge will assist clients in understanding their coverage options, while maintaining the company's risk management standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess the eligibility of applicants for various insurance products.
• Ensure the accuracy of data and documentation throughout the underwriting process.
• Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and agents.
• Work with the underwriting team to improve processes and offer better client services.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance or related field

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in underwriting or risk assessment roles

• Data Analysis

Certifications

• Underwriting Certification from AICPCU

Languages

• English: Fluent
