Audio and Video Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Audio and Video Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audiovisual equipment for various events, ensuring top-quality audio and visual experiences.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with external vendors for AV equipment rentals.
• Provide training to junior technicians as needed.
• Document and inventory AV equipment and supplies.
• Evaluate new AV technologies and suggest improvements to systems.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during setup and operation.
• Manage budgets for AV supplies and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or degree in Audiovisual Technology or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with AV Software
• Strong Understanding of AV Technologies

Soft Skills

• Excellent Interpersonal Skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Ability to speak multiple languages: Extra language skills are preferred for working in diverse environments.
• Working knowledge of networking principles: Understanding of how AV equipment connects over networks.
