Insurance Underwriter

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter who will evaluate and analyze policy applications to determine the risk involved. You will work closely with agents to recommend policy structures that meet client needs while protecting the interests of the company.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal insurance policies in accordance with company's guidelines.
• Calculate insurance risks and determine suitable coverage terms.
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs.
• Generate reports on underwriting trends and statistics.
• Provide training and guidance to junior underwriters.
• Review and approve or decline underwriting requests.
• Assist in the development of marketing strategies for new insurance products.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field

Experience

• 5+ years in insurance or underwriting roles

• Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI)

Languages

• English: Fluent
