Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and solutions for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate should have experience in both commercial and industrial sectors, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical layouts for new projects.
• Evaluate existing systems for upgrades and repairs.
• Work with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
• Create and maintain testing protocols for electrical systems.
• Coordinate with stakeholders during project execution.
• Manage and oversee subcontractors and their work quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis for electrical failures.
• Research and recommend new technologies and tools.
• Collaborate with the project manager on timelines.
• Prepare budgets and track project expenditures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Master's degree in Energy Systems is a plus

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in the field of electrical engineering

• AutoCAD

Languages

• English: Fluent
